OVERVIEW

The Dunlop SP Sport 5000 DSST CTT is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The road gripping ability is enhanced with the asymmetric tread pattern's independent inner tread blocks that improve the road gripping ability in dry, wet and winter weather. The circumferential and lateral grooves improve the water and slush dispersing ability and actively prevent hydroplaning in deeper water. This ensures a safer year round driving ability.

The model is a run flat tire. It means that the tire supports the weight of the vehicle and the passengers for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph after the loss of air pressure. This ensures that the driver safely arrives to a destination where they are able to change or repair the damaged tire. These tires are usually manufactured for vehicles that have no space for spare tires. Run flat tires cannot be mixed with regular tires, as their construction is heavier. The tire was manufactured with the CTT or Combined Tire Technology, which mixes car and motorcycle tire development and manufacturing methods to improve the driving experience and boost the tire's run flat ability.

The soft drive provided with the CTT is further enhanced with the internal structure's Jointless Band Technology that is a spirally wrapped cord on top of the twin steel belts that reinforce the tire's structure. They provide excellent uniformity and a flat footprint shape. This prevents the tire's shape from deforming under the high speed driving pressure. As the tire maintains its optimal road contact and tire shape, it is capable of performing at high speed. The uniform tire shape also ensures a quick and precise steering responsiveness, making the tire easy to control at all times. The model's performing capability is also enhanced with the high performance tread compound that promotes exceptional road gripping ability all year.

The SP Sport 5000 DSST CTT offers additional biting edges for cornering and maneuvering situations. The shoulder design's large stable independent tread blocks enhance the road gripping ability in all weather conditions and provide extra road grip to improve the cornering and maneuvering ability and power, making the tire effortless to control.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
